Start at Great Woods entrance gate by stone pillars.
Through gate and up Great Woods Road.
Left at E6-1 onto Cornel Path (sign). (.41)
Straight at E6-2. Blazes change to green. (.49
Left at end of trail at D7-2 onto Waycross Road. Blazes are green and orange. (1.19)

Right at bottom of hill at C7-5. (1.64)
Straight through intersection at No Swimming sign.
Bear right at junction where clearing is visible on left fork.
Right at end of trail on Penny Brook Road. (1.76)
Right at Penny Bridge onto Great Woods Road at B5-7. (2.64
Follow blue blazed trail on left at B4-3. Trail leaves at sharp right turn on Great Woods Road.
There is a wide rocky trail leading down to the beach. Do not take this trail.
Take the blue blazed trail which leaves directly behind the tree with the B4-3 marker on it.
This tree also has a sign with reservoir regulations on it. (3.20)
Continue along lake shore along blue blazed path. Avoid any paths leading uphill to right. Nice views across Walden Pond.
Trail will come out near pump station in entrance clearing.
Go by Dam and then through green gate on right side.
Continue along paved entrance road to finish at stone pillars at entrance.
Finish 4.88 miles
